The Bishop Hendricken unified volleyball team advanced to the Division II state championship game after a 2-0 victory over Westerly in the semifinals on Tuesday.
The Hawks, who hosted the semifinals, defeated the Bulldogs 25-21 and 25-23 to earn the sweep. Hendricken will now take on either Barrington or Central Falls in the title game on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Johnson and Wales. Opening Ceremonies are at 12:10 p.m.
Pilgrim hosted a semifinal match on Wednesday and was edged out by North Kingstown. The Skippers won the first game before Pilgrim rallied for a 25-20 in game two behind strong serves by Eli Dowding and Madisyn Avella. North Kingstown came back strong in game three to win 25-16.
