The Hendricken cross country team accounted for the top eight finishers in a dual meet with Pilgrim and Cranston East at Goddard Park on Tuesday afternoon en route to clinching 15-50 victories over both opposing schools.

The pair of wins pushed the Hawks to 4-0 on the season. The Pats, on the other hand, were handed their first loss by the Hawks, but were able to defeat Cranston East, 22-35, to improve to 4-1.

Hendricken seniors Josh Clift and Dan Ruggiero paced the field of runners, taking first and second respectively.

The Hawks’ Nick Braz, Alex Mansour, Jack McMahon, Dylan Manning, Amedeo Cubellotti and Matt St. Jean slotted in at spots three through eight.

Two Pilgrim runners rounded out the top 10, with Kevin Dusseault taking ninth and Joe Tocco earning 10th, as both put forth impressive showings.

James Kozuco (18th), Eddie Cascella (22nd) and Ryan Emilo (28th) also ran well for the Pats to clinch a 1-1 day.

The Hawks will be back in action on Monday when they host Cranston West, Hope and Mt. Pleasant at 4 p.m. at Goddard Park.

Pilgrim will also return to the course on Monday, as it’ll host East Greenwich and Classical at 4:30 p.m. at Warwick City Park.
