Bishop Hendricken teamed up with the American Cancer Society for a Coaches vs. Cancer event at Friday's game. Glow sticks were handed out to all in attendance, and with the lights dimmed at halftime, a short ceremony was held to celebrate lives impacted by cancer. Hendricken has also collected donations for Coaches vs. Cancer.

"When the book is written about a cure for cancer, Coaches vs. Cancer and Bishop Hendricken will have their very own chapter," said Tracy Quarella, youth initiatives coordinator for Coaches vs. Cancer.
