The Hendricken football team just keeps on rolling.

The top-ranked team in the state, the Hawks improved to 3-0 in Division I and 4-0 overall with their most dominating performance of the season on Friday night, a 40-0 victory over Tolman.

The Hawks are still tied for the D-I lead with Barrington, which is also 3-0. Tolman dropped to 0-3. La Salle and Portsmouth are both 2-1, while South Kingstown is 1-1.

Hendricken jumped out to a 21-0 lead on the Tigers in the first quarter, and made it 34-0 at halftime. It added six more points in the fourth quarter to provide the final margin.

Standout running back Remington Blue once again led the way, as he had three touchdowns and 130 yards on just seven carries. He scored on runs of 66, 5 and 4 yards. Mitch Lucci had a touchdown on a 10-yard pass from Patrick Gill, Shane Olson had a 7-yard touchdown run and Lee Moses had a 57-yard punt return for a touchdown. Robert Campbell converted four of six extra points.

Hendricken has now out-scored its opponents 114-21 in D-I play, leading the division in both points scored and fewest points allowed.

Next up for Hendricken is a home game against 0-3 Cranston West on Friday at 7 p.m. The Falcons are coming off a tough 22-21 loss to La Salle last week.

Then it gets tougher for the Hawks, who will take on Portsmouth, Barrington, Cranston East and La Salle in their final four D-I games. All of those teams are fighting for playoff spots.
