Hawks take Cranston Invitational crown

The Bishop Hendricken wrestling team grabbed medals in 11 of 14 weight classes on its way to the team championship at the annual Cranston Invitational this past weekend. Hendricken finished with 226 points, 47 points better than second-place finisher Plymouth South.

Nick DiMauro and Dylan Bessette won titles for the Hawks, with DiMauro taking the crown at 113 and Bessette winning at 160. Jason Davol added a second place at 106 and Nick Parente took second at 138.

Third-place medalists were Anthony DiMauro at 132, Chris Barone at 152, Mike Gelardi at 170 and Billy Stewart at 220. Taking fourth for the Hawks were Rob Lanni at 126, Alex Knight at 195 and Dallas Sauer at 285.
