The Hendricken cross country team did what it hoped to do during Saturday's Class 'A' Meet, getting six runners across the finish line in the top 10 to capture first place. The Hawks were led by freshman Michael Potter, who finished in fourth overall. Behind him were Mark Vuono in sixth, Colin Tierney in seventh, Tyler Henseler in eighth, Connor Doyle in ninth and Collin Manning in 10th. Greg Beaudette finished in 16th. With 34 points, Hendricken finished well ahead of second-place Chariho, which had 69 points despite having the top three finishers in the entire race.

In the Class 'B' Meet, the Toll Gate boys' team punched itself a ticket to this weekend's State Meet with a second-place overall finish. The Titans finished with 72 points, behind only Barrington's 21, and had seven of the top 28 runners. Henry Smithers finished in seventh, Patrick Rocchio came in 14th, Brandon Golda finished 15th, Joseph Frost was 16th, Ben Dinobile was 20th, Brock Mass was 21st and Austin Medeiros finished in 28th.

The Pilgrim boys' team finished in ninth place in the Class 'A' Meet, and its top finisher was Mark Lenz in 50th place. Vets came in 12th in the Class 'B' Meet, with Dan Pickering leading the way in 33rd.

On the girls' side, Toll Gate came in fourth place in the Class 'B' Meet. Erika Pena was the first to cross the finish line for the Titans, as she came in seventh place. Casey Soares was next in 12th, Tess Russo finished in 24th, Haley Moen came in 29th, Katherine Lavallee was 34th and Danielle Petrangelo was 41st. Vets also competed, and it finished in ninth place. Its top runner was Sarah Grace Plante in 26th.
