He was my son

Posted

To the Editor:

On Nov. 11, 2013, my son died. He did not make the front page of your newspaper or the local 6 o’clock news.

But he was my son.

I did not have a “My son is an Honor Roll student” sticker on my car and there were no sports letter sweaters in his closet.

But he was my son.

Like any 18-year-old, yeah he was only 18, he knew better than I did on most matters and would argue the point!

But he was my son!

He would blame his brother or me or anyone else when things did not go his way.

But he was my son.

On March 1, 2014, he would have been 19. The love of his life was Brittney and his favorite movie was “Gladiator.” Please have a nice thought for my son, Brandon Bellucci. I miss him so.

Paul Bellucci
