A Healthy Kids Day will be held this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kent County YMCA, 900 Centerville Road, Warwick. The day includes indoor and outdoor activities with obstacle courses, dancing, bounce houses, drumming, sports and games. Demos on healthy living will include nutrition, education, exercise, prevention and safety. Performers include interactive singer Julie Garnett from 10:15 to 10:55 a.m., storyteller/musician/cartoonist Keith Munslow from 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m., and positive rapper James “Mr. Deep Positivity” McBride from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. The event is open to all ages and is free of charge. Healthy Kids Day at the Kent County YMCA was made possible in part through a grant from South County Community Action Family Care Community Partnership and DCYF to the member agencies of the Warwick Coalition to Prevent Child Abuse.
