Helping others

The staff and clients at the Re-Focus Community Center (RCC) turned their attention this week to others in need when they collected items for Thanksgiving baskets. The RCC’s weekly Spirit Group headed up the initiative to collect non-perishable food, vegetables, baked goods and turkeys for those less fortunate. “Our folks know that while they will have a nice Thanksgiving dinner, there are others who will go without this year” said Christine Kavanagh, RSM, Re-Focus Inc. Executive Director. “It means a lot to our people to make a contribution to their communities. This initiative gives them an opportunity to do so.” Re-Focus provides adults with developmental disabilities, a loving and caring environment through day programs, supportive living and group homes. During this time of year, the folks at the RCC wanted to give back by collecting and distributing items to those less fortunate.
