Hendricken Jazz Ensemble to perform at Trudeau Center

Posted

Not only will members of Bishop Hendricken’s Jazz Ensemble be participating in their school’s annual Hunger Walk on April 2, they will also put on a performance at the Trudeau Memorial Center the same day.

The group, composed of about 20 students, was invited back to Trudeau after putting on shows for the center in the past. Clients at the center will be treated to jazz favorites, along with songs by The Beatles, Stevie Wonder and other pop and rock artists. The show at 1:15 p.m. will last about 45 minutes to an hour.

According to the conductor, Sean Donnelly, a Hendricken alumnus and now teacher, the young men in the ensemble “take a lot of pride in performing outside school.”
