Hendricken High School is hosting its annual For the Boys Gala this Saturday, April 30.
The fundraiser, which benefits scholarships and tuition assistance initiatives, features auctions, cocktails, and a sit-down dinner, as well as a presentation, a “mission moment” in which students past and present as well as their families share how a Hendricken education has benefited them.
Last year, about $140,000 was raised.
In a previous interview, Hendricken President John Jackson said: “This money directly helps those families that desire the experience of a Catholic education, but may not have the means to afford it on their own. Any family that desires a Catholic education should be able to receive it, despite their finances.”
The For the Boys Gala begins at 6 p.m. and runs until 11 p.m. The event will take place at Hendricken, located at 2615 Warwick Ave., under a tent on the baseball field. Dinner will be catered by Morin Catering.
Tickets are $125 and can be purchased through the school’s website, www.hendricken.com.
