Here comes 'Thoroughly Modern Millie'
DO THE CHARLESTON: Cast members (from left) Faith Maloney, Abby Comtois, Amanda Corley, Mary Mullane and Bryana Mullins kick up their heels.

The Aldrich Junior High School drama club will present “Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jr.” this weekend in the school’s auditorium. Based on the Julie Andrews and Mary Tyler Moore movie of the same name, “Thoroughly Modern Millie” tells the tale of Millie, a woman in the 1920s who seeks to shake up the world in the roaring ’20s. The TONY-award winning musical features upbeat numbers that bring back the era of the Charleston, fringe dresses and bobbed hair. The cast has been rehearsing three times a week since January under the guidance of Pilgrim High School students and the direction of teachers Martha Whitaker and Diane Chaplin. The show will have two performances: Thursday, March 29 and Friday, March 30 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 at the door.
