High school graduation set Aug. 21 at Toll Gate

There will be one more graduation this season. Warwick Public School seniors who either needed summer school or tutoring in a failed subject or a class they were unable to take during the school year to finish graduation requirements will have a chance to walk the stage to receive their diplomas. All three high schools will be represented and each school’s principal will be speaking at the event. Both Superintendent Richard D’Agostino and Director of Secondary Education Dennis Mullen will be addressing the graduates.

There will be about a dozen students graduating at the ceremony.

D’Agostino said, “This is a mini graduation just for them. It may have taken the students a little longer than the rest of their class to meet graduation standards, but this is an accomplishment nonetheless and they should be recognized for it. It is a milestone in their education and they deserve a proper sendoff.”

The ceremony will be held at the Robert Shapiro Auditorium at Toll Gate High School at 9 a.m. on Aug. 21.

Refreshments will be served after the event for graduates, family and friends at the ceremony.
