As you prepare for the upcoming holiday season, let Warwick Public Library put you in a holiday mood with activities for children, teens, and adults.
Children can enjoy a post-Thanksgiving outing to see the movie-version of Roald Dahl’s classic tale, Fantastic Mr. Fox on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m.
In December, children can laugh at the antics of Jim Carrey and his six penguin pals in the movie comedy, Mr. Popper’s Penguins on Wednesday, December 28 at 10:00 AM.
All December long, children are invited to bring their teddy bears to the Children’s Library to pick up a free copy of the book, Jesse Bear, What Will You Wear?
Teens can enjoy a post-Thanksgiving showing of superhero action with X-Men: First Class on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 3 p.m.
After Christmas, teens can kick back for an action-packed showing of the sci-fi film Jumper on Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 3 p.m.
Children of all ages can join actor and storyteller Robb Dimmick for dramatic readings of “A Child’s Christmas in Wales,” by Dylan Thomas, and “A Christmas Memory,” by Truman Capote on Thursday, Dec 8 at 7 p.m.
The family can share a showing of the movie favorite Miracle on 34th Street on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m.
On Dec. 8 and 14, the library will roll out the baby grand piano so that Brittany Dyer and her piano students can play holiday tunes in the lobby, from 6 to 7 p.m.
