Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, a leader in hospice and palliative care since 1976, will hold its second gala fundraiser Saturday, May 12 at the Citizens Bank Rotunda, One Citizens Plaza in Providence. Titled “Casino Royale,” the event promises to be an evening of high stakes, high style and high rolling.
“Last year’s gala set such a high standard for success that it’s been a challenge to exceed those expectations this year,” says Chuck Iacono, vice president of philanthropy at Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island. “However, this year we are extremely fortunate to have the creative expertise of co-chairs Grace Ormonde, editor-in-chief of Ormonde Wedding Style publications, and Carolyn Rafaelian, owner and designer of Alex & Ani, to lend their artistic flair to the event. Coupled with the unique design style of James Verity of Verity Design, Casino Royale will surely be an event you don’t want to miss.”
According to Pam Cassidy, Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island’s special events coordinator, Casino Royale will showcase the glamour and jet-setting vibe that only Hollywood stars experience.
The celebration includes sumptuous food and cocktails created by the renowned chefs of Providence’s Café Nuovo restaurant with entertainment by The Manhattan Touch, a premier nine-piece band that performs in Boston and New York. The event planners promise an unforgettable experience, complete with a red carpet, paparazzi, studio style search lights, an outdoor piazza, dramatic and ambient lighting, cabanas and ice sculptures. Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased online at www.hhcri.org or by calling Pam Cassidy at 415-4217. Sponsorships are also still available.
