Pfc. Joshua P. Fortin, of Warwick and a cannon crew member with Battery A, 1st Battalion, 377th Field Artillery Regiment at the Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington, got to enjoy the home cooking of Spc. William J. White and Spc. Samuel H. Hesse, who used their culinary skills to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner. The story made news on military websites where Fortin was quoted as saying the cooking made the day special. “When something like this comes around, people need to take advantage of the fact that it’s happening. The food was awesome and I’m completely full,” he said. Here, Fortin is pictured with a full plate before digging in with the plastic fork he carries in his mouth.
