To the Editor:

I would like to thank the group of over one hundred people who came out last week to my campaign kickoff. Dave’s Bar and Grille was a great host, and the food was outstanding. I was truly humbled to see how many of my neighbors, friends and family members came out to wish me luck and offer their support. As I highlighted in my remarks at the event, Warwick is a great place to live, work and play.

Meeting with residents of Ward 7, I have found they are excited to hear from someone with a fresh perspective. I look forward to continuing to meet with my neighbors in the ward and to highlighting my priorities for safe, clean neighborhoods, exceptional city services, sound budgets, and responsible spending. I will remain an accessible, tireless community advocate for the ward. As I walk the ward door to door, I am excited to share with my neighbors how my experiences in the private sector working for small businesses every day will help attract new businesses to our city, thereby expanding the tax base and creating new jobs. The experiences I have gained while working in the public sector in both state government and the federal government advocating for veterans, seniors and my neighbors will also be an asset on the City Council. Thank you again to all the people that came out last week for a great start to an exciting campaign.

Steve McAllister

Democrat Candidate for Ward 7 City Council
