Ida A. Thompson, 81, a resident of Warwick for 28 years, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Carmine and Clotilde (DeLuca) Romano. Ida was a licensed practical nurse at the Eleanor Slater Hospital before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Timothy Church and a member of the Legion of Mary. Ida was known for her most amazing Thanksgiving turkey.

She was the loving mother of Paula Nardolillo and her husband, Michael; Patricia Henry, Jordan E. Thompson and the late William C. Thompson; grandmother of Joshua Henry and Julia Nardolillo; sister of Olga D’Arezzo, and the late Arthur Romano, Lattanina “Lee” Simmons and Virginia C. Romano.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, June 6, at 12:30 p.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave.
