If only there was a plane to Ireland

As they did last year, students from Damhsa Irish Dance Studio had arriving and departing travelers at Green Airport, plus a good many friends and family, clapping their hands and tapping their feet Friday afternoon in the baggage claim area. For most of the students it was their eighth performance of the day with another two to three to go. And the atmosphere, more than anything, had dancers and their parents thinking about July 2014. The group is planning to attend Feis Ireland, a gathering of dancers and a competition in Ireland. Applauding the dancing of her colleagues is Amelia Murphy, a student at Warwick’s Norwood School with her father, Paul. Preparing to take their bows is Stephen Tinberley of East Greenwich with Sophie Brusini and Danisha Smith. The studio did two performances to lend a St. Patrick’s Day lift to everyone’s day.
