Imagine Preschool has received a 5-star rating from BrightStars, Rhode Island’s quality rating and improvement system. The 5-star rating, the highest rating BrightStars gives, reflects superior quality in six domains as determined through unannounced observation and documentation.
Located on campus at Community College of Rhode Island in Warwick, Imagine Preschool is aligned with the Rhode Island Early Learning Standards and guided by Creative Curriculum, a nationally recognized preschool curriculum. Imagine Preschool prepares 3- to 5-year-old children to succeed in school by giving them a love of learning, an excitement about school and the skills and knowledge that will form the foundation for successful learning.
“The BrightStars quality system is the highest quality standard we have in the state,” said Simmy Carter, associate director of the Providence Center’s Early Childhood Institute and Imagine Preschool. “We are honored to receive the 5-star rating. I commend the hardworking and dedicated teachers at Imagine for their commitment to providing the highest quality learning environment and education for their young students and their families.”
Imagine Preschool teachers are credentialed educators. The curriculum offers children the opportunity to develop healthy relationships and positive social skills with others. Activities are lead by Constructivist theory, which provides learning experiences that promote cognitive, language, social, emotional, and physical development, nurturing children's strengths, abilities, and natural curiosities.
