Learn how Native American themes in Louise Erdrich’s novel, “Love Medicine,” connect with New England’s indigenous communities at Warwick Public Library Thursday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m.

Join Narragansett elder, oral historian and author Dawn Dove and indigenous educators and activists from the Mohawk, Narragansett, Niantic and Ramapaugh nations for a panel discussion of the book.

Louise Erdrich’s first novel is a powerful and poetic multigenerational portrait of two families living on and around a Chippewa reservation in North Dakota.

Indigenous Cultures Discuss “Love Medicine” is sponsored by Arts Midwest, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, Tomaquag Museum and Warwick Public Library.
