Installation of a new main drainage system line in the middle of Veterans Memorial Dive has been the cause of traffic delays at the Apponaug circulator project, especially in the morning commute. Department of Transportation spokesman Charles St. Martin said the work would continue through this Friday, at which point that section of the road that has been dug up will get a layer of asphalt. He said work is expected to continue next week provided the asphalt is available. Usually by this time asphalt plants are closed for the winter, so continued work on this phase of the circulator project is dependent on asphalt. (Warwick Beacon photo)
