Irene P. Kozlowski, 94 of Crane Street, Schenectady, New York, entered in to eternal rest on March 12, 2013. She was the wife of the late Alexander S. Kozlowski.
She was born in Schenectady, NY on August 1, 1918. Early in life her family moved to Detroit, Michigan where she graduated from the Grace Hospital School of Nursing. Returning to Schenectady, Irene worked at St. Clare’s Hospital as a registered nurse. She also later became an optician. A devout Catholic, she was an Apostle of the Resurrection, a member of the Rosary and the Alter Society, and the Christ Child Society, all of St. Adalbert’s Church in Schenectady. She was also a member of the Mt. Carmel Seniors.
Survivors include her three loving children, Roberta Mournighan and her husband, James of Warwick, Thomas Kozlowski and his wife, Sharon of Spencer, New York, and James Kozlowski of Schenectady, New York. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Zachary and Jacob Kozlowski of Spencer, New York and Thomas Mournigham and Daniel Mournigham and his wife, Leigh of Warwick.
Calling hours were held on Friday, March 15 at the DeLegge Funeral Home in Schenectady followed by a mass of Christian burial at the Church of St. Adalbert, in the same city.
