Irma E. (Skidds) Kennedy, 85, of Providence, passed away November 23, 2013 at Avalon Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late James J. Kennedy, Jr.
Born in Calais, Maine, a daughter of the late Earl and Josephine (Phee) Skidds. She resided in Providence for most of her life. Mrs. Kennedy was an activities therapist at the Rhode Island Medical Center for 35 years before retiring in 1990. She was an avid Red Sox fan.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan L. Nelson and her husband, Kenneth of Warwick, her son, David E. Kennedy of Providence; a sister, Edith Skidds of Farmington, New Hampshire; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service and interment will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
