With candles to light the night, Conimicut residents and Woodbury Union Church parishioners joined Friday night for the lighting of the tree at George Donovan Park in the village center followed by carols sung by the Aldrich Junior High Chorus in the church sanctuary. This year the tree is decked in all white lights. Following the carols, people joined in the church hall for baked goodies and a visit from a special person. Here, Jesell Couto carefully tends her candle at the tree lighting and the school chorus performs. (Warwick Beacon photos)
