JADE DRAGON RESTAURANT

For delicious Asian-American food

Did you know that the ornamental stone "jade" is highly prized in the Chinese culture as a symbol of goodness, preciousness and beauty? Dragons are also significant in the Orient, and when carved from jade represent the virtues of wisdom, courage, modesty . . . and again, beauty. Given the significance of "jade dragons" as the symbol of so many aspirational virtues, it is not surprising that when Judy and Rickie Chin opened their Chinese restaurant on Warwick Avenue twenty years ago, they named it "Jade Dragon". They have run their business inspired by these virtues of goodness towards others, beauty in their food preparation and wisdom in their choices. Certainly, their longevity and popularity attest to this.

What is it about Jade Dragon that makes it so special? It is a rare combination of owner Judy Chin's gracious hospitality along with their consistently satisfying food that makes the difference. Chef Rickie Chin's food is prepared every day with attention to freshness and flavor. There are many options available for those who are a little more adventurous in their tastes, as well as for those who have a favorite meal that they order every time. There is also a full-service bar where specialty drinks are created just for you, including this fall's Red Apple Martini and Pumpkin Martini.

What better way to celebrate your favorite team this fall than with a platter of one of Chef Chin's delicious appetizers? Start your meal with one of these tasty options ~ Crab Rangoon, Shrimp Cocktail, Boneless Ribs, Fried Wontons and Egg rolls. If that isn't enough, try their House Wings in Sauce, Spare Ribs or Beef Teriyaki. Now these appetizers are a true "thing of beauty".

Come in for lunch or dinner and sample the Chef Chin's famous specials. There is something for every palate here including a huge selection of combination platters and many mild or spicy meat, seafood and vegetarian options; also, an extensive list of lo mein, chow mein, egg foo yong and fried rice ~ even vegetable and bean curds. Next time you are at Jade Dragon, be sure to ask for a dish that is one of Rickie's unique creations - the "Nungi Special", a delicious combination of yellow noodles, piled high with broccoli, pea pods, mushrooms, carrots and bean sprouts, all tossed in a spicy sauce.

If you are seeking some respite from the demands of life, then come to where you will find a touch of goodness, beauty and wisdom at Jade Dragon.
