Jack Joseph Calicchia, age 72, of Warwick, died on December 3, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the loving husband of Beverly (Burbank) Calicchia.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Gioacchio and Elisa (Culla) Calicchia, he lived in Warwick since 1986. He was a United States Army veteran. Mr. Calicchia was employed by the RI Department of Human Services and the RI Department of Mental Health Retardation & Hospitals for over 30 years, retiring nine years ago as an eligibility technician.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a step-daughter, Angela M. Egan of Coventry, a step-son, Joseph A. Rambone of Hillsboro, New Hampshire; two brothers, Domenic Calicchia of Palm Bay, Florida, and Dr. N. Robert Calicchia of Lincoln, two sisters, Mary Mollo of North Providence and Ann Balses of Cranston; and several nieces and nephews. He was the loving grandfather of Amanda, Patrick and Sarah. He was the brother of the late Egildo “Gene” Calicchia, Dr. Guido Calicchia, Mafalda Calicchia, Albert Calicchia, Dante Calicchia, Anthony Calicchia, and Lucy McKnight.

His funeral was held on December 7, from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial with military honors was in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
