Jade Dragon Restaurant: Come join them for Easter

The Easter season is a time of celebration and tradition in many countries around the world. Often commemorated by Easter Egg Hunts and church services, this holiday is also a time for families to gather over a warm meal and to welcome in a season of rebirth. For those who have observed Lent, it is a time to celebrate the advent of Easter Day and to give thanks after six weeks of sacrificing a luxury.

Jade Dragon Restaurant is open for Easter this year and invites families and friends to join them for a spring celebration of their own on Easter Day. From 11:00 until 3:30, Jade Dragon is serving up a Ham Dinner Special, including glazed carrots, potato stuffing and your choice of soup or salad - all for only $9.95. Bring your loved ones to Jade Dragon on Easter so you can truly enjoy the festivities of the day. Owners Judy and Rickie Chin consider all their customers as family - so come on in. There is a table ready for you.

Along with their Easter special, there are many menu options which are appropriate for those ending their Lent observance. These include a special seafood combination platter of fish prepared in a light egg batter and served with crab cakes and coconut shrimp for $12.90, and Hun Sel Scrod, a flaky fish also lightly battered and served with Chinese vegetables and rice for $10.20. The batter for these preparations is homemade - there is nothing processed or commercial tasting here at Jade Dragon! They even make their own tartar sauce!

To add a little flair to their already extensive menu, Chef Rickie has added a new appetizer to the list of options - Thai-style Chicken Teriyaki and Thai-style Chicken Wings. Both items are saturated with flavor and just the right amount of sweet chili sauce. As with everything else at this popular restaurant on Warwick Avenue, these are finger-licking good!

As if it could get any better, owner Judy Chin is bringing back the much-asked for Passion Bomb to top off your meal! A rainbow of flavor and color, this decadent dessert is made of layers of raspberry, mango and peach sorbet, coated with white chocolate for that extra punch of sweet indulgence.

Jade Dragon Restaurant is the place to come this spring, amidst all the rush of cleaning house after a long winter, to enjoy everything from their Easter dinner to their huge menu of lovingly prepared foods to their specialty drinks, many of which are the original creations of Judi Chin herself.

Jade Dragon is located at 1982 Warwick Avenue. Hours are Tues-Thursday, and Sunday from 11 am to 10 pm; and Friday and Sat, from 11 am to 11 pm. Delivery is available ($15.00 minimum purchase). To place a take-out order, call 732-9595.
