James E. Fox, age 69, of Warwick, died on Friday, September 5, 2014, at the West Shore Health Center in Warwick.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Manuel J. and Hazel C. (Boyd) Fox, he lived in Warwick for most of his life. Mr. Fox was formerly employed as a line cook at several area restaurants, and also worked as a dog handler at Lincoln Greyhound Park. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
He is survived by a sister, Marjorie L. Brooks, and a brother, Manuel J. Fox, Jr., both of Warwick; his life-long friend, Cheryl Allen of Warwick; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday, September 17, at 10 a.m. in Spring Green Memorial Church, 1350 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Burial will be private.
