James F. Moan, Sr.

James F. Moan, Sr., 88, of Warwick died March 19, 2016 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Arleen T. (Bowen) Moan.

James was employed as lineman for over 40 years for Narragansett Electric Company. He was an avid golfer and a Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. James was a member of the former Sea View Golf Club and was a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II.

James is also survived by two sons: James F. Moan, Jr. (Gail) and Michael K. Moan, Warwick Fire Dept., both of Warwick; a sister: Mary Boulanger of Cranston; a sister-in-law: Janet Quigley of Warwick; four grandchildren: Michael and James Moan, Kathy Palazzo and Melissa Moan; and two great-grandchildren: Taylor and Alex. He was the beloved father of the late Thomas R. Moan.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 9 a.m. from the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick (Exit 12-A off I-95) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Clement Church, 111 Long St., Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Tuesday 4 p.m.-8 p.m. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery. Exeter.
