James H. Lees, 76, a lifelong resident of Warwick, passed away June 17, 2016 at the Greenwood Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the former husband of Vicki A. Morin.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Edward and Dorothy (Howard) Lees. Jim was a lifelong member of the Oakland Beach Volunteer Fire Co., St. Cloud Shuffleboard, and many bowling and softball leagues. He was an avid golfer and moved to Florida in 2002. Jim loved the game of baseball and the New York Yankees held a special place in his heart.
Jim was the loving father of Lori A. Fisette and her husband, Todd and Shawn M. Lees; devoted grandfather of Ashley-Marie and James; great grandfather of Tanner; brother of Dorothy Little and Edward Lees and the late Robert Lees, Darlene Behan, Sandra Lamb and Thomas Lees. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
His funeral will be held Friday, June 24, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rita Church, Oakland Beach Ave. Burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 p.m.
