James J. Smith, 55, of West Shore Road died Monday at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, a son of Henry V. and Margaret A. (Van Camfort) Smith, he had been a Warwick resident for twenty-five years. Mr. Smith served in the United States Navy and worked as a carpenter for most of his life.
He leaves two daughters, Jessica A. Wagner of Warwick and Racheal St. Jean of Rehoboth; one son, Jeremy T. Smith of Warwick; six brothers, Kenneth Smith, Daniel Smith, Mark Smith, David Smith, Michael Smith and Richard Smith.
