Jean C. Rudis, 79, of Warwick, passed away peacefully at home on October 30, 2014, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, John M. Rudis.

Born in Millinocket, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Beecher and Elsie (Hatfield) Dunn. Jean was an active member of Saints Rose and Clement Parish. She was involved as a lector, a Eucharistic minister who administered to the sick, a choir member and a faithful member of the Rosary and Alter Guild, previously serving as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-President, and President. Among Jean’s interests, were knitting, crosswords, singing, and dancing. She had also been a member of the Long Street Players of Saint Clement’s and enjoyed keeping everyone entertained. Most of all, Jean enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Besides her beloved husband, she leaves one daughter, Michael-Jean (Mickey) Lourenco and her husband, Fred of Warwick, and three sons, John (Jack) Rudis and wife, Charli of Rehoboth, MA, James (Jim) Rudis and wife, Charry of North Kingstown, and Stephen (Rudy) Rudis of North Kingstown. She is also the cherished grandmother of eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Arthur Dunn and Margaret York.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, November 3rd at 9:30 a.m. from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Route 117, Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 2nd from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
