Jean W. (Corbin) Giusti, 75, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 at home.
Born in East Providence, April 22, 1940, she was a daughter of the late William “Ben” and Eleanor (Potter) Corbin. A long-time resident of East Greenwich, Jean was an educator with a Master’s Degree from Rhode Island College. She taught in East Providence from 1962 to 1967 and taught special education in the East Greenwich school system from 1968-1994.
After retiring, she was a substitute teacher until 2001. Jean had an artistic flair, which included intricate calligraphy as well as many other art forms. She enjoyed making quilts and giving them to friends and family. No matter what condition she was in or how much pain she was enduring, she would always ask “How are YOU doing.”
She was the beloved aunt of Stephen Sypek and Susan Gessing; sister of Richard Corbin of Florida and loving sister of the late Judith A. Sypek.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 17 at 9:30 a.m., in the Woodbury Union Church, 58 Beach Avenue, Warwick. All are welcome to attend.
