Jeanne Marie Cravin passed peacefully, in her home in Maine, on January 27, 2015.

She was born on February 1, 1953 in Providence, Rhode Island, Jeanne was a fierce lover of children, her friends, and her precious family. Her 40-year career was spent caring for children with special needs at Trudeau Center in Rhode Island and most recently at UCP and BHS for ME in Maine. She loved to laugh, paint, and watch her grandchildren play and grow.

Jeanne is survived by her husband of 41 years, Stephen; sons Michael, his wife Suzanna, and grandchildren Leah and Levi of Hermon, Maine, and Matthew, his wife Meredith, and grandchildren Elizabeth and Elliot of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a sister, Karen White and her husband, Frank of Warwick, RI, a brother, Robert Gentes and his wife Nancy of Lebanon, Connecticut. She was predeceased by her parents, G. Raymond Gentes and Rosemary T. (McLaughlin) Gentes of Warwick.

A celebration of Jeanne’s life will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 3rd at Hermon Baptist Church, with the Rev. Garnett Chute, officiating. Friends may visit from noon-1pm. A time of fellowship and refreshments will immediately follow in the church hall.
