Jeremiah J. Sullivan, 74, of Warwick died Thursday at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara M. (Rebello) Sullivan.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Jeremiah J. and Mary G. (Cronin) Sullivan, he had lived in Warwick for the past 36 years. Mr. Sullivan served as a firefighter in the City of Providence for 26 years before retiring in 1986. He served as secretary-treasurer of Providence Firefighters Local 799 and was a member of the Providence Retired Police & Firefighters Relief Association. He was a member and past president of the Warwick Knights of Columbus. Mr. Sullivan was a long time passionate fan of Notre Dame and Providence College Athletics.

Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Kevin M. Sullivan of Providence and a daughter, Kelly Ann Sullivan of Warwick; a sister, Margaret M. Fitzsimmons of North Providence. He was the brother of the late Joseph, James and Frederick Sullivan.

His funeral will be Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. from the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, 92 Hope Street, Providence at 10 a.m. Calling Hours Monday 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. www.trainorfh.com.
