Jimmy Mazz bringing `Legends and Laughter' show to RI

Jimmy Mazz, who has drawn rave reviews as the Johnston Community Center Association’s Summer Concerts in the Park series headliner, is coming back to Rhode Island with an exciting new show he’s done in front of sold-out audiences for the past month at the Superstar Theater located inside Resorts International Hotel in Atlantic City.

Mazz – whose home base is Ludlow, Mass., and who is known for his music, comedy, and impressions – will play a one-night performance Saturday at B Pinelli’s Italian Restaurant located at 736 North Broadway in East Providence.

“The show will be the same as the one I’m doing in Atlantic City,” Mazz – whose full name is Jimmy Mazzaferro – told the Sun Rise Tuesday during an exclusive telephone interview. “I’m closing in on 22 performances here [in New Jersey] and it just keeps getting betters and better, and I love it.”

That show, as Mazz explained, “is a new show based on Las Vegas legends, but I now call it ‘Legends and Laughter.’ The only real change is that there is a lot more comedy in the show, but I still do a ton of both singing and non-singing impressions.”

To make reservations for Saturday’s performance, and for information on ticket prices and options, call B Pinelli’s at 401-270-7111. The show is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

“Jimmy will also be doing Johnny Cash, Rod Stewert, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and Nat King Cole,” said Ann Marie Cardillo, who is recognized as Jimmy Mazz’s top fan and promoter in Rhode Island. “He surrounds all those name singers with funny stories and antics, including the voices of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Clint Eastwood, and former Presidents Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan.”
