John P. Lage, age 79, of 1811 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, died on September 10, 2012, at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Doris (Mercier ) Lage for 59 years.
Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, a son of the late John G. and Lena (Bosi) Lage, he lived in Warwick for 55 years. He was a graduate of Providence College. Mr. Lage was a pharmaceutical representative for A.H. Robins for 35 years, retiring 20 years ago. He was a former Boy Scout leader with Troop 95 in Warwick.
Besides his wife, he is survived by five sons, Michael A. Lage and his wife, Patricia, Mark P. Lage and his wife, Deborah, of Warwick, John P. Lage, Jr. and his wife, Donna of Lancaster, South Carolina, David A. Lage of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Christopher J. Lage of Warwick, two daughters, Jo-Anne Thatcher and her husband, William of Warwick, and Carolyn J. Palombo and her husband, Robert of Cranston; a sister, Linda Coulombe of Warwick; seventeen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late William Lage.
