John R. “Jack” Crowther

John R. “Jack” Crowther, age 71, of Namquid Drive, Warwick, died on Sunday, January 15, 2017, at Kent County Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Linda A. (Keefe) Crowther. They were married for 52 years.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Frank M. and Ruth E. (Clipston) Crowther, he lived in Warwick for most of his life. Mr. Crowther was employed by Sholes Properties in Warwick for over 30 years. He was earlier a senior installer for Dimension Cable and Cox Cable. He was a member of the Oakland Beach Volunteer Firemen’s Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Jean M. Jencks (Richard) of Dunn, NC and Sharon L. Crowther (Scott) of West Warwick; a son, Joshua J. Crowther (Tiffany) of Warwick; two sisters: Elizabeth L. Pashkovsky and Ruth A. Crowther, both of Warwick; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Barbara J. Meinel and Frank M. Crowther, Jr.
