John Ricci, 79, died September 27, 2013. He was the beloved husband for 55 years of Eileen A. (Wilkins) Ricci.

Born in Providence a son of the late Felix and Adaline Ricci, he had been a resident of Warwick since 1972. Mr. Ricci was a heavy machine operator and had been employed with J. Perri & Sons in Warwick and the former Genever Brothers. He was very active in the West Shore Imperials Drum & Bugle Corp for many years. He loved camping and traveling with his family and was a member of Good Sams and the Narragansett Sams Camping Association.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Debbie M. Ricci of Taunton and Denise A. Calabro and her husband, Tony, of Coventry, his son, John S. Ricci, and his wife, Charlene, of Warwick. He was the grandfather of Amanda Mitchell, Zachary and Alanna Calabro, Matthew and John Ricci; and great-grandfather of Steven LaFazia and Mariah Fiore. He also leaves a sister, Lucy Thomas of Providence, and was the brother of the late Felix Ricci and Edward Ricci.

His funeral service will be held Thursday, October 3, 2013, at 10 a.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m.
