John T. Williams, 85, of Anderson Avenue, a retired electronics technician for NUSC, died Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Home & Hospice Care of RI. He was the beloved husband of Luella O. (Hudson) “June” Williams for 62 years.

He was the son of the late Francis B. and Catherine (Walsh) Williams. Mr. Williams was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion and Gaspee Seniors.

He was the loving father of John F. Williams and his wife, Micki, Lynn M. Ryan and her husband, Richard, Deborah A. Temple, Robert L. Williams and his wife, Cheryl, Gail J. Furr and Mark J. Williams and his wife, Cindy; and brother of Helen Dauplaise, Frances Ide, Elizabeth Kerrigan and Barbara Gill. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

His funeral will be held Jan. 13 at 9 a.m. from Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Church, Fair St. Burial with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are Jan. 12 from 4-8 p.m.
