A Johnston man was arrested this week on a charge of first-degree child molestation.
Brandon F. Graham, 32, 131 Federal Way, Apt. 104, was ordered held at his arraignment Sept. 3 in Third District Court, according to Johnston Police Maj. Frank Levesque. He was also ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim.
According to Levesque, Graham made contact with the teenage boy through a cell phone dating app. The two arranged to meet at Kennedy Plaza in Providence on the afternoon of Sept. 2, the major said.
Levesque said the two met as planned, and Graham then drove the boy to his Johnston apartment, where the alleged molestation occurred. Graham then dropped the boy off in the area of Hartford and Killingly streets in Providence.
Levesque said the boy walked home and told his mother of the incident, at which point she called police.
A bail hearing is set for Graham on Sept. 16, and a subsequent court date is scheduled for Nov. 5.
