The Community College of Rhode Island Foundation welcomed three new trustees at the foundation and Alumni Association annual meeting held Sept. 17 at the college’s Knight Campus. In opening remarks, college president Ray Di Pasquale spoke of the college’s 50th anniversary that is being held this year and the series of events to commemorate the occasion including today’s burial of a time capsule at the Knight Campus. He called the year-long celebration an opportunity to do an even better job in helping CCRI students through scholarships and the funding of projects to help CCRI. “Let’s play off of it (the anniversary) and keep the energy going.” Here, Mark Gim, president of the CCRI foundation, second from left, is joined by newly elected trustees Peter Brockmann, Esq., Jacqueline Kelley, Esq. and George Nee, president of the Rhode Island AFL-CIO.
