Joseph H. Olivieri, 88, of Warwick passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Louise A. (Rice) Olivieri.
Born in Cranston, he was a son of the late Domenic and Stella (Romeo) Olivieri. An Inspector and Master Welder, Mr. Olivieri was the Supervisor of Shipbuilding for the United States Navy Civil Service until his retirement in 1988. He served in The United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church of East Greenwich.
He was the loving father of Peter A. Olivieri of Cranston, Nancy A. Olivieri of Warwick and the late Paul J. Olivieri. Cherished grandfather of five; and great-grandfather of one. Caring brother of Ronald D. Olivieri of Cranston and the late Murray J. Olivieri, Angelo Oliver, Grace Belanger and Eleanor Natal.
Relatives and friends were invited to Visitation on Monday, June 9, 2014 followed by a Funeral Service in The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial, with military honors, followed in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown.
