Joyce A. (Bruno) Northup, 77, of Warwick passed away on January 10, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Ollie H. Northup for 60 years.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late William and Bertha M. (Hatfield) Bruno. Mrs. Northup was a Licensed Practical Nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Providence. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Cranston.
She was the loving mother of Donald W. Northup of Clearwater, Florida, Gail M. Moan of Warwick, Richard A. Northup of Lincoln, Joyce A. Kettelle of Cranston and Kimberly D. Raspallo of Cranston. Also the cherished grandmother of ten; and great-grandmother of two. A caring sister of Richard W. Bruno of Lincoln, Irene V. Moore of Corpus Christi, Texas, Lorraine Uhrig, Georgetown, Texas and the late Marion Lunsmann and Eleanor Schmidt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. in The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95).
