Joyce (Miller) Abram, 84, passed away peacefully with family by her side April 26, 2015. Joyce was preceded eleven months by her husband Robert Boman Abram and had enjoyed 64 years of marriage.

Born in Providence RI, she was the daughter of the late Eugenia (Drefke) Miller and the late James Miller. Joyce lived most of her life in Warwick. She was a Cub Scout den mother when her boys were young. She was a member of The Whirl Away Square Dance Club , a communicate of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Warwick and worked as an executive secretary at KCMH. She was also a realtor. After retiring to Inverness Florida, Joyce worked as a travel consultant in Boca Raton . Joyce and her husband Bob moved to Milton, New Hampshire in 2005. Finally moving to Greensboro North Carolina after the loss of her husband.

Joyce had a love for travel and toured the USA with an RV. Fifty years of marriage was celebrated touring the islands of Hawaii. Several cruises to exotic destinations were enjoyed with her husband. In her spare time she was a remarkable knitter and seamstress, and also did beautiful needle work. Interested in genealogy, she researched and created an extensive family tree to share with her children. Joyce will be sadly missed and remembered for the love she had for life and learning and most of all the love she gave her family.

Survived by three sons, Wayne C Abram of Milton, NH , and his wife Ann , Gregory R Abram of Warren RI, and his wife, Michelle and Richard D Abram of Providence, RI, a daughter Kathleen Darnley of Greensboro, NC and her husband, Fred . Six grandchildren, Gregory, Allison and Christine Abram , Gretchen Dierck , Kirsten Darnley; and the late Ian Michael Darnley . Two great-grandchildren, Bowie Hillebrand and Ian Riley. She was the sister of the late Evelyn Zimmerman.

Family and friends are invited to share in a memorial celebration on Saturday, May 23, 10:30 a.m., Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Warwick Ave Warwick R.I with interment to follow at Pawtuxet Cemetery Warwick RI.
