Kathleen L. "Kathy" Salzsieder, 60, of Warwick Neck Ave., Warwick, passed away July 3, 2011 at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She was the beloved wife of Dr. Kenneth H. Salzsieder, MD of Warwick.
Born in Lynn, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Louis and Helen (Doyle) Pappas. Kathy, a registered nurse, trained at Beverly Hospital in Beverly, Mass. and Madison Hospital in Madison, Wis., where she met her husband. She started her career as a medical surgical nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and later worked for many years in her husband's cardiology office.
Kathy was one of the most generous and caring people to all her friends and family and was very loving and caring to all her patients. She enjoyed horses, flowers, shopping, hot tea with milk and her hats.
Besides her husband she leaves three sons, Hanz A. Salzsieder and his fiancée, Nicole Quatrale, of Dorchester, Mass., Jason L. Salzsieder and his wife, Genevieve, of Mansfield, Mass. and Michael K. Salzsieder and his fiancée, Beth Claggett, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial July 8 at 10 a.m. in St. Kevin's Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Interment will follow in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline, Mass. Visiting hours will be held July 7 from 5-8 p.m. in R.A. Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., Coventry.
