KNOCKING OUT THE RECESSION: The 31st annual Ocean State Grand National Karate Championships took place last weekend, giving local businesses a boost. Presented by The Don Rodrigues Karate Academy, it attracted more than 800 competitors to Warwick and awarded $16,000 in cash prizes. Pictured is the owner and namesake of the academy.
