To the Editor:
With Halloween just days away, it is a good time to caution pet owners to keep their companion animals safely indoors on Halloween night. Dogs and cats can become frightened by groups of youngsters in "costume" or could become the object of a cruel prank.
Furthermore, pets may sneak out of the house when the door is opened and become lost. Unfortunately, many of them never find their way back home. Don't let any of these things happen to your best friend. Keep your pet inside so that all can enjoy a safe Halloween.
