Light show raises $900 for animal shelter

To the Editor:

We would like to thank everyone who visited our Christmas Light Show on Saturday night and donated to the charitable organization Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter.

We raised $900 in donations, pet food and cleaning supplies. Everything is used by Friends in their efforts to help the animals at the Warwick Animal Shelter. On Saturday night, we served six gallons of hot chocolate, two gallons of hot cider, cookies, breads, Kettle Corn (Thank you Poppy's!) and other treats. Santa made a surprise visit, which thrilled a lot of children!

We also want to thank the Warwick Beacon and reporter Jessica Botelho for mentioning our annual Hot Chocolate night in her Nov. 29 article "A gift of light."

Our show runs every evening until New Year’s Day from 4:30 until 11 p.m.

Merry Christmas!
